Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) is an award and incentive program for performing local governments to encourage and challenge all provinces, cities and municipalities to improve on their performance and service delivery. For a Local Government Unit (LGU) to become SGLG recipient, it needs to pass all the three core assessment areas – Good Financial Housekeeping, Social Protection and Disaster Preparedness, and at least one from the essential assessment areas – Business-Friendliness and Competitiveness, Peace & Order or Environmental Management.
